Tech giant Apple has unveiled its most powerful flagship M2 chip in its MacBook Air laptop. Apple announced this most efficient chip at WWDC 2022 (Worldwide Developer Conference).
This new chip will improve the performance and functionality of MacBook Air laptops. The world’s best-selling MacBook Air Pro also features this new M2 chip.
Apple’s MacBook Air laptops will be the first devices to feature an M2 chip this year. It’s a redesigned laptop, similar to the MacBook Air Pro.
M2 chip
M2 is Apple’s second-generation chip, an upgraded version of the previous-generation chip M1. The M2 is an 8-core chip, and it comes with Apple’s next-generation 10-core GPU.
It has 100 GB/s unified memory bandwidth and supports up to 24GB of fast unified memory.
The M2 chip can stream 4K and 8K video.

The new laptop comes with two Thunderbolt ports, Magsafe charging, and a 3.5 headphone jack.
